Covid-19 Spike and the Delta Variant

Aerial Patrol has been lucky to have experienced no major impacts so far due to the Covid-19 pandemic. But Arkansas is now seeing its highest spike in coronavirus cases in nearly five months, and the spread of the Delta variant has made it a new epicenter of the US outbreak. To maintain our “lucky streak” we must get back to following the mitigation protocols previously established better than we have of late.

We are still required by our customers to follow Covid-19 mitigations, report cases in the workplace, and restrict employees with, or having been exposed to, Covid-19 from performing work on their behalf. This being the case, an outbreak within the company could hinder or even remove our ability to meet our customer’s needs and could possibly jeopardize our contracts with them.

So, to ensure the health of our company and our employees, we must get back to complying with the protocols we established. Regardless of the employee’s vaccination status, masks are to be worn while traveling in vehicles, and indoors when physical distancing cannot be assured. Remember, the vaccine does not keep you from getting or spreading the virus, it only lessens the virus’s effect on you should you become exposed again. The spread is what we are fighting.

If you have not received the vaccine, I encourage you to do so. This will help to reduce the pressure on the healthcare system and might even save your life or lessen the discomfort you may experience if you were to become infected.
