2021 Storms

It was a bad night for so many people Friday night. This photo was taken by Matt and Luke on Saturday of a neighborhood in Augusta. This neighborhood is Mrs. Moore's. We are so thankful that she and all of Jim's family is safe.

Also, I want to thank everyone for their work this Saturday. It's not only about the job, but about those who are affected by the devastation.

I do have a couple of things I want to remind all of you:

1) You absolutely must make sure you have your PVDs (Personal Voltage Detectors) when doing any lockouts and storm work. Not only must you carry them in the trucks, they must be working and worn when you are out on the right-of-way. If you do not have the PVDs, you are NOT authorized to go.

2) If you're working a line and someone from Entergy tells you they found the problem, you should go to that location and get photos of the damage and surrounding area to ensure there are not additional damages. DO NOT dismiss yourself thinking that the job is done.

3) Storm work can be very stressful. I want everyone to know that I am here to help absorb some of that workload. I can help with paperwork, maps, communications or anything you need. I can even get you any equipment (like PVDs) that you might have forgotten. We are all in this together. Lets all try and be as kind and understanding as possible. We are a team.
